"Summertime is Over".....
Another call from Team Sweetwater finds the boys a little cold, but in great spirits. Just as I had guessed earlier, they're motoring back to Pond inlet, ever mindful of the wind and weather. They're going to be challenged by the wind in their faces, and scattered snow flurries the rest of the way back. Most of this call concerns a weather update. It's a bit boring, but I'll post the audio anyway: Download VTHCall5Aug18.mp3
I'll also include an updated team position, with remaining mileage to Pond Inlet:
I want to thank everyone for posting. Now it's time for me to go and fill some sandbags for the big hurricane party!

Sounds like the team is doing pretty well, even with weather becoming more of a factor.
Also, nice to see they retain some humour re: bones.
As always thanks for the updates and a "Go Team Sweetwater" - they get a "gold" for adventuring

Sorry Mark - I missed your sidebar comment re: sandbags. Hope you're okay and that everything was simply precautionary.
Be safe.

Big thanks to you Mark for keeping us up on Team Sweetwater's status. It's reassuring to me, and I'm sure plenty of other people, to hear Russell's voice.

Thanks again for the call. Glad to know they are heading home. I am looking forward to the call from Keeno that will send me to the airport to pick him up!

Hey Mark - I see that Fay is still hanging about Florida - are you anywhere near her? I do hope that it's a non-event for you; or at least a minimal one.

Hey Sergio. No worries as of yet with Fay. She's tenacious, though. The Tampa area has received very little rainfall so far. Some other East coast Florida areas are 20+ inches of rain. Amazing. Thanks for your concern.
