Kayaks.... Prepped & Ready
Another quick note from the Public Library in Pond Inlet (I only have 20 minutes computer time & don't type very fast!)
The kayaks were received yesterday afternoon and found to be in great condition after such a long journey and air transit. Just a couple of scratches, scrapes & kisses, they'll look much worse at the end of August after we paddle/drag them for 5+ weeks. They have been prepped & outfitted, and were test packing all of gear & food today and plan to take them for a test paddle to test for leaks in our multi-sectional fiberglass kayaks.
Beyond all of that.... It's just a wet, rainy, cool & windy day in PI! The team is happy & dry a the moment at Dave Reid's for Polar Sea Adventures. (check out his website with a Google search)
More in a bit before we shove off tomorrow for weeks of paddling!
Tim
