July 18th.... GO North!

Well....  As I type this morning, I find myself and Team, one day away from our departure tomorrow for the tippy-tippy top of Baffin Island in Nunavut, Canada!  It'll take the team 3 days of sporadic flights to reach our final destination of Pond Inlet.  We arrive Sunday Afternoon and I understand that the ocean is still frozen....  Yikes!

Regardless, wish me luck with my luggage logistics and airport antics.  I have (5) large duffel bags of food for the entire team, the kitchen and all of my personal gear in those bags.  My bathroom scale sez it all weights approx 250 lbs. if I did my subtraction (my weight) from all of the totals.  Great exercise actually....  Grasp duffle, step onto scale, subtract 195 lbs. (me), too much.....  Remove a few items, repeat often & daily.  It's kind of like low impact Step Aerobics using a bathroom scale & various duffle bags full of gear.  I think I'm finally ready....  Tim

PS: Anyone have a "Hook-up" with the top Baggage Handling Staff at Continental Airlines?  Excess Baggage & a Credit Card should solve any issues... I'm told.
